Easy Smoked Salmon Sandwiches
Sometimes it's the most simply prepared foods that taste the best and this is definitely the case here. There is something about the flavors that come together in this sandwich that make you feel like you're spoiling yourself every time you eat it.
You can even adapt this recipe and serve it on water biscuits as a party appetizer - it's sure to go down a treat.
Tip: If you're going to serve this sandwich as part of a buffet table for a party you'll need a snazzy serving dish.

Toast the bread and butter it. (Tip: Use whole Wheat or seed bread for the best flavor.)
Cut the smoked salmon into narrow strips.
Mix the cream cheese with the chopped dill and chives.
Roll the lemon between your hands or on the chopping board with light pressure before you cut it to make it easier to squeeze the juice from it.
Spread the cheese mixture on the toasted bread and top with a few capers.
Lay slivers of smoked salmon on top then add the slices of avocado.
Top with a squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of ground black pepper.
Garnish with a sprig of fresh dill and a chive or two.
Easy Salmon Sandwiches
This easy sandwich recipe requires no addition but I like to serve it with a handful of rocket leaves and a handful of mustard cress on the side drizzled with a little olive oil and lemon juice.
