Use your finger to coat the rims of your glasses with lime or lemon juice.
Pour the coarse salt into a saucer and dip the rims of the glasses into the salt to create a salt encrusted rim.
Mix the crushed ice, Tequila, Triple Sec/Cointreau and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.
Pour the slush into the glasses.
Cut the slice of lemon or lime in half and wedge the pieces in the ice.
